South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center

The much awaited South Padre Island Birding center had their grand opening last Saturday. Not one much for crowds, I went to check it out today. Here are some shots.

First bird shot is a Tri-colored Heron in some weird plumage. Next three are Yellow-crowned Night Herons, Adult with a couple of immatures. Last two are White Ibis.

I even saw a Wood Stork which are fairly rare over here. They are more common in Florida.
