Unidentified Sparrow

I tried to find the ID and there are some that come close in the field guides, except for the white wing patch.

  1. We had a cardinal that showed up in our yard almost daily last year. It had a single white feather on one wing. Maybe your sparrow had a similar anomaly.

  2. That very well could be the case, especially given the location of the white. It may be a Cassin's Sparrow. Care to venture a guess?
